Some New Bingo Lingo
On Monday Cathy played *toering* against me. The only word from that combination is GENITOR (a male parent). I did challenge, but not as confidently as I would have the previous week because it seemed a very reasonable word that could easily be an addition under CSW19. Fortunately for me the lexicographers must think that it should be toe-ring with a hyphen or perhaps two separate words, so GENITOR is still the only solution for those letters. However it did seem a good idea to look at the most likely 7 letter words that are available in CSW19 that were not legal words in the old dictionary.
This turned out to be a big topic so don’t be discouraged if there seems to be more words than you can remember at one go. Perhaps you should read this blog in two or three stages.
We will start with the bingos for which the old dictionary already had a word for that letter combination.
