Up, Up and Away

Last week Lawson played a great Bingo – UPWAFTS. I had a suspicion that it was right, but had to challenge anyway. Fortunately for me Lawson had to take the last two tiles out of the bag and one of them was an unplayable Q. So the story did not have a happy ending, at least not for Lawson

B & C Grade Learning List

You probably won’t get to play a bingo starting with UP like Lawson, but we will have a look at some shorter UP words you might not have thought of.

UPBY A little further on. You can add an E for UPBYE

UPDO An upswept hairdo.

Note that it does NOT mean to do something up. It is a noun, so UPDOS is ok, but NOT updoes or updoing. Just while we are on the subject - wouldn’t UPSWEPT be a great bingo to spot?!

UPGO To go up

UPSY A boisterous drinking party

This has two alternate spellings – UPSEY and UPSEE

UPTA Australian slang for poor quality. Also spelled UPTER

UPBOW A type of stroke playing a stringed instrument
